Field Description
Export data by Use this field to select the level at which to export and aggregate data.
Your options are:
  • Work Package: If you select this option, the to-date, current period, and to complete values for budget, progress, and actuals will be exported at the work package level.
    Note: If the Level at which to capture actual costs option of the selected project is set to Control Account, actuals will be exported at the control account level. If the forecast class is set to the Control Account level, forecast will be exported at the control account level.
  • Control Account: If you select this option, the to-date, current period, and to complete values for budget, progress, actuals, and forecasts will be exported at the control account level.

Export historical data Use the field to select to export either the cost data per time-phased periods or just the cumulative to date values.
Your options are:
  • Time-phased
  • Cumulative to date
Aggregate time-phased data by: Use this field to select the level at which to aggregate time-phased data.
Your options are:
  • Element of Cost: Select this option to aggregate time-phased data at the element of cost level. This option is available when exporting both DCDE and IPMDAR formats.
  • None: Select this option to exclude lower-level data aggregation. This option is available when exporting IPMDAR format.
Export Subcontractor from Use this field to select a code field from which to map the subcontractor ID during the Cost Data export process. This field displays the validated mapped code fields from the selected code file in the OBS field on the Export Structures page. The values displayed follow the OBS.<Prompt Name> format.

This field is enabled only if you select IPMDAR on the Project and Format page. By default, this field is blank.

The subcontractor information is exported to the JSON files using the following rules:
  • All codes mapped to the selected OBS Subcontractor code file are exported to the Subcontractor.json file using this format:

    "ID": "<Code ID>"

    "Name": "<Code Description>"

  • If the code file type is Code (required), the SubcontractorID is exported to each element in the OBS.json file.
  • If there is a value assigned to the OBS Subcontractor code file, the SubcontractorID is exported to each element in the OBS.json file. If there is no value assigned to the OBS Subcontractor code file, the Subcontractor ID is not displayed.
  • If a code file that is mapped to the OBS Subcontractor code file has a blank description, the SubcontractorID is not exported to the Subcontractor.json and OBS.json files, and the process log displays the following warning message for each code with a blank description: "Subcontractor <Code> was not exported because it has no description."
  • If the code file assigned to the OBS Subcontractor code field and saved in the configuration no longer exists, the Cost Data Export process continues, and the process log displays the following warning message: "Subcontractor was not exported because of invalid OBS subcontractor code file."
Use WBS/OBS combination as Control Account Select this option if you want to export the data using the WBS and OBS as the control account if they are not assigned to control account key fields. When this option is selected, control accounts with similar WBS and OBS will be aggregated.
The field values that will be exported for the combined control accounts are as follows:
  • BaselineStartDate: The earliest baseline start date is exported.
  • BaselineFinishDate: The latest baseline finish date is exported.
  • ForecastStartDate: The earliest forecast start date is exported.
  • ForecastFinishDate: The latest forecast finish date is exported.
  • ActualStartDate: The earliest actual date is exported.
  • ActualEndDate: This is exported only when all control accounts are in Completed status and the latest actual end date is exported.
  • CAM: The CAM of the first control account that the database sees when combining control accounts with the same WBS/OBS is exported.
  • CA/WP Code assignments: The values from the first control account that the database sees when combining control accounts with the same WBS/OBS are exported.
  • Progress Technique: The progress technique of the first work package that the database sees when combining control accounts with the same WBS/OBS and work package ID is exported.
